About The Soapy Spot

Hello, my name is Kevin LaBonville and I am the owner of Soapy Spot DIY Dog Wash and boutique.

I started Soapy Spot because I’m a dog owner myself and I saw a need for a high quality DIY dog wash service in our community that offers state of the art washing bays as well as a second-to-none customer experience. So, I decided to design and build Soapy Spot.

My own dogs need bathing monthly, and I wanted a service where I could bathe my dogs without leaving a huge mess in my bathroom, a wrench in my back, and a dent in my wallet. My intention is for Soapy Spot to be an unexpectedly pleasant experience for you, your dog, and your family to share together without the stresses and messes of washing your dog at home; or the expense of a full-service grooming.

The boutique side of Soapy Spot features a hand picked selection of some of the highest quality dog treats (mostly US made), toys, leashes, collars, harnesses, a “barkery” grooming supplies, even doggie “beer.”

I come to Soapy Spot from a long career in retail sales and management, where most recently I owned and ran a successful franchise for almost 20 years. My family and I live on the South Shore and are part of the local community. I look forward to establishing connections and building relationships with fellow dog-lovers in our community, providing an important and enjoyable service, and adding value to the local economy.
