These bully sticks are American-made and sourced, odor free, but they have some imperfect color. Before raw pizzle can be sent to the drying facility, it needs to be made not fit for human consumption. For this batch they used Denaturant Blue* They are in sticks that are 16"-20" long and are perfect for bulk displays. They are 100% safe, the color won't come off and are a bargain. Denaturant Blue is a food-grade dye used to mark and denature meat and/or poultry that has been deemed adulterated in food processing plants. Such marking is required to prevent the meat and/or poultry from being used for human consumption.
